Hi there.
I know, you're probably asking yourself what an architectural wedding photographer is. It's a niche I made up.
I'm a practicing architect and professional photographer of 10+ years. When planning my own wedding in 2025, unsurprisingly, the two most important decisions to me were the venue and the photographer.
We wanted a place with a real sense of character, somewhere with beautiful light, captivating architecture, and an atmosphere that felt like us. We found that at Basilica Hudson. But I quickly realized how difficult it was to find a photographer whose work captured the feeling of the space just as thoughtfully as it captured the emotions of the day.
Eventually, we found our incredible photographers, Lukas Piatek and Kubi, who flew all the way in from Germany.
Four months after our wedding, I somehow found myself back at Basilica Hudson, second shooting a wedding alongside Lukas. Like, what!? How lucky was I? It was an incredible experience that allowed me to relive a little bit of my own wedding day while discovering a new passion for photographing them.
I found myself paying attention to all the things I cared about when planning my own wedding: the light, the architecture, the atmosphere, and the little moments happening around the big ones. I also found myself going above and beyond for the couple because I knew exactly how I'd want someone to approach my own wedding.
I'm drawn to couples who care about the whole experience, from the venue to the photographs they'll take home. If design and a strong sense of place matter to you, let's chat.
